The vessel "Real Escape" will leave from picturesque Old Saybrook, CT. After leaving the dock, the captain will maneuver the boat to the site. There, with the boat at rest, family and friends may conduct whatever type of memorial service they feel appropriate; music can be played, individual personal memories may be expressed, or other reflections on the deceased may be expressed by the attendees. Family and/or friends then will scatter the ashes. Real cut flowers or flower petals may be dispersed at the site. People who love the water often ask that their ashes be scattered at sea. This is a beautiful way for family and friends to say goodbye. We do our very best to honor the wishes of family and friends if there is a certain landmark or geographic area near where they would like to spread their loved one's ashes.
